HARD work throughout the year paid off for Parrett & Axe Primary School, winning both the A and B cups in the third and final primary running event of the year.
They have consistently entered more runners than any other school in the area.
Thirty-four teams of four runners from 10 schools fought hard on the 1,600m course set up around the fields at the Sir John Colfox School.
It was an exciting race with each runner from the two boy and two girl team completing two laps of the course.
The Symondsbury A team were only seconds behind the winners, with St Catherine’s A team in third place.
Parrett & Axe A&B Cup winners
A Cup Winners: Guy Scarborough, Roisin Murphy, Seth HAll Nunn, Katie Evans
B Cup Winners: Ashton Coleman, Kiana Earlan, Jake Smith, Amelie Bailey
