BRIDPORT Reserves manager Shaun Annetts admits he is “a little embarrassed” with his side’s current league position and is aiming to see a big improvement.

The Bees, currently second from bottom of the Dorset Premier League, could move up four places with a win at Sherborne Town Reserves tomorrow (2pm), the side they drew 1-1 at home against last week.

Annetts told Echosport: “I definitely am concerned.

"I look at it and feel a little embarrassed with where we are and the league table never lies.

“We need to get two or three wins under our belt and that will elevate us up the table.

“We need to work hard to get those points to get us in a respectable position.

“Trevor (Senior, first team manager) has been very supportive and is not too concerned where we finish. His priority is producing a crop of players that he can choose and will be playing for him one day perhaps.

“From my personal point of view I don’t want to see us languishing near the bottom few, I want to see us in a respectable mid-table position which the club needs to be looking at.

“We shouldn’t be down where we are and it’s my job to get some results and get us where we need to be.”

Adam Stordy is back in the Bees’ squad tomorrow having served a one-match ban.

A number of the Bridport Reserves are carrying knocks but Annetts is hopeful they will shake them off.

  • Elsewhere in the division, Weymouth Reserves travel to Hamworthy United Reserves and Balti Sports host Cranborne at Weymouth College (both 2pm).
