ADAM Cullingford won the West Bay SAC Christmas Fayre for the first time.

The annual event took place just before Christmas with most anglers fishing at Burton Bradstock.

Anglers caught cod, dogfish, whiting, pout and rockling, and Cullingford triumphed with a total of 5,070g.

Competitors weighed-in back at the Salthouse where, after a hot meal and prize-giving, a draw was made for the Christmas presents that anglers had brought to the match.

ALL but two anglers chose to fish at Burton on a calm and cold evening, and plenty of fish came to the scales.

Lea Windsor was one of those anglers who decided to fish at Bexington, which proved to be a good move as he found plenty of fish including five plump codling.

1 Lea Windsor (8,125g), 2 Ollie Mears (7,129g), 3 Steve Fowles (7,045g)

Most species: PJ Wheeler (8, flounder, codling, dogfish, pout, whiting, poor cod and five-bearded/shore rockling.

Heaviest fish (above bags removed): Paul House (dogfish 875g) n This completes the club’s fixture list for the year, the first match of 2015 takes place at Abbotsbury on New Year’s Day from 1pm to 6pm.
