BRIDPORT Under-13s started the 2012/13 campaign with arguably their toughest game.
Having conceded 15 goals at reigning champions Wimborne on their two previous visits, the Bees knew they were in for a tough test.
But they rose to the challenge in style and came out firing on all cylinders.
The visitors tore through their opponents and with goals from Callan Laydon and Callum Middleton, Bridport looked comfortable at half-time.
However, the home team responded at the restart and reduced the deficit 10 minutes in before applying further pressure on the Bees’ backline.
To their credit, the away side rode the storm and should have gone on to add to their tally.
But in the end it was the Bees celebrating at the final whistle.
