BRIDPORT will be looking for their fourth straight win in all competitions on Saturday (3pm) but they will face no sterner test in the league this term in Bristol Manor Farm, according to boss Trevor Senior.

Outlining the Farm as the team to topple in the Western League line up this season, Senior believes that his in-form side can play without fear at St Mary’s Field this weekend, in a bid to beat the current league leaders.

The Bridport manager said: “They are obviously the team to beat this year I think. They are favourites to win the league but they have had a couple of blips in the last few games.

“They are obviously beatable and with the confidence that we have and the way we have been playing we go into it with nothing to lose.

“It’s a big week for us as a club, we have three games in eight days in three different competitions.”

With Bridport not in action over the course of two weeks, Jamie Symes has had the chance to get himself right after taking a knock against Bitton last time out, and is hopeful to be in contention to take his place among the Bees’ troops.

Brother Adam Symes is also back in training and could feature for either the first team or the reserves, but Chris Senior is unavailable.

The Bridport boss also took the time to wish central-defender Adam Anstey well, as he has decided to return to Weym-outh Reserves as part of his dual registration.

“He fitted in really well with the lads and he enjoyed it, he’s going to stay in touch and I wish him all the best,” Senior added.

“He is still dual registered but he looked at the way the squad is shaping up at the moment and he couldn’t see himself getting in. He would rather play Dorset Premier League football which is on his doorstep, but he did say he would help us out at a later date.”
