BEAMINSTER FC has received a £600 financial boost from TalkTalk, the home phone and broadband provider.

The Perry Street League club will be sponsored by TalkTalk for the next 12 months and the funding will be used to buy new training equipment for the club. Residents in Beaminster and Hooke will also benefit from a £50,000 investment by TalkTalk, which is expanding its Next Generation Network to provide residents with access to faster broadband.

Secretary at Beaminster Football Club, Brian Page, said: “We are very pleased that TalkTalk has chosen to support Beaminster Football Club over the next 12 months.

“The donation will be used to buy new training equipment, which will benefit all who play at the club.

“My fellow officers and committee are grateful to TalkTalk for giving us access to much needed funds.

“This platform gives me the opportunity to thank all those that support the club in very many ways and to call for more volunteers of any age to help run amateur sport in the town of Beaminster.”
