HARRISON Yarnold, 13, from Askerswell has returned from a successful trip to Italy.

Along with a squad of GB Biathletes led by GB Biathle coach Mick Flaherty of Weymouth, Yarnold was competing in the latest of the Biathle World Series held in Viareggio.

He managed to secure the gold medal in the Youth C boys’ race, finishing 20 seconds ahead of fellow GB Biathlete Bradley Sutton.

Fellow Dorset Pentath-lete Hugh Ireland completed the one-two-three for the county team after claiming third place.

Yarnold is shown proudly wearing his gold medal and holding the cup awarded to Team GB for being the most successful team.

Yarnold is now looking forward to the World Championships in Dubai in November.
