PLATE PRIZE: Bridport Under-14s’ A team. Back row, left to right: Will Clent, Albert Lintell, Tom Roberts-Wray, Niall Waterhouse, William Bowin-Ashwin. Front: Luke Roberts, Joe Mace, Ewan Dommett, George Pearse
Bridport Under-14s tasted glory at the Swanage & Wareham Sevens.
The Blues entered two teams but had to share substitutes bet-ween the sides due to a lack of numbers.
Although Bridport B lost all four games, they impressed their coaches with their endeavour and spirit throughout the day, led by Stephen Davies.
Bridport A meanwhile won two and lost two in the pool matches, thus qualifying for the Plate competition.
After narrowly beating Oakmeadians in the semi-finals, the impressive rugby continued as they got the better of hosts Swanage & Wareham.
The only downside on the day was seeing Kieran Robinson sustain a broken collarbone early on.
