BRIDPORT Barracudas enjoyed a magnificent homecoming by capturing round three of the Jurassic League in tremendous style.
Barracudas beat second-placed Heron by a whopping 31 points at their home pool to set up an intriguing and potentially momentous final gala of the season.
Should Barracudas come out on top again in that meeting – which is also at Bridport Leisure Centre – they will cement themselves as league champions.
Head coach Ian Mortimer attributed the team’s success to a training regime that places the main emphasis on technique above all else.
An abundance of personal best times were clocked by the swimmers on what was a hugely encouraging evening.
Fixtures secretary Noreen McLaren said they continue to defy expectations while supporting their fellow squad members with great enthusiasm.
