POOLE Town took their quest for National South safety to the final day of the season after a 1-1 draw with Whitehawk tonight.
Dolphins took the lead at Black Gold Stadium through Steve Devlin’s powerful free-kick, only to be pegged back when Nathaniel Pinney popped up with a goal on the counter 16 minutes from time.
The result means Poole are one point behind relegation rivals Hungerford Town heading into the season finale.
Tom Killick’s men must beat Oxford City on Saturday and hope Hungerford slip up at East Thurrock to ensure they achieve survival.
Hungerford were tonight beaten 1-0 by Concord Rangers, who ensured their safety with victory.
