BRIDPORT assistant-manager Paddy Behan has promised to “have a good go” at Cadbury Heath when the two sides reunite for their FA Cup second qualifying round replay tonight (7.30pm).

The Bees conceded a 92nd minute goal to go 2-1 down at St Mary’s Field on Saturday, but a Braeden Symes header less than 60 seconds later salvaged a replay for boss Adam Fricker’s men.

Fricker’s number two Behan is now looking to “stick a couple more chances” away as Bridport aim to progress to the next round and a tie with TBC.

He said: “In the second half we had some very good chances and the keeper made some decent saves. Their captain and centre-half seemed to get his toe to everything which was very frustrating.

“Fair play to the boys, they conceded a goal late when we’ve been in charge of the game, the Braeden scored with his head which is a rarity!

“What we took out of the games was a minimum, but that’s what the FA Cup is all about.”

Bridport have already enjoyed a 4-1 success away to the Heathens this season in the Toolstation Western Premier Division, but Behan is aware both sides have now had “two looks” at their opponents.

“It was a closer game than the score suggested. We know we have got threats. We have had two looks at them and now they know what we’ve got.

“We’ll have a good go at them and hopefully stick a couple more chances in the net,” he said.

Bridport will choose from the same matchday squad for the tie, with Andy Martin expected to be fit despite briefly sustaining a dislocated shoulder on Saturday.
