Ladies’ Section

TUESDAY saw new lady captain Pat Baldwin produce tasty treats before her drive-in.

Having placed bets as to where the ladies thought her ball would finish she stood on the 18th tee and drove, initially teasing members with her choice of club, but common sense prevailed and her driver was used.

Sue Walsh had faith in the captain and put her mark nearest to where the ball landed just off the green and was rewarded with a bottle of fizz.

Members then played a bring-and-win Stableford.

The winner, therefore having her choice of the goodies, was Nicky Stone followed by Roseanne Bonfield with Marion Hurley and Di Harris taking third and fourth place.
