BEES chief Trevor Senior is targeting at least two or three more victories during his side’s run-in.

Bridport, who have only won once since the turn of the year and were left kicking their heels last weekend, have seven games remaining to boost their position in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.

They start their quest for a strong finish against high-flying Bradford Town at St Mary's Field on Saturday (3pm).

Senior said: “We just desperately need a win really and we have to pick up two or three more before the end of the season.

“With not playing at the weekend the results went against us and the league table doesn’t read too healthily.

“When things aren’t going well maybe we analyse things a little bit too much.

"Obviously you want to turn it around but things can’t be that wrong because we were picking up good results before Christmas.”

Quizzed on visitors Bradford, he added: “They are going well and had a good FA Vase run. We haven’t played them so far this season but they have a couple of players capable of scoring goals.”

Jamie Symes could return for the Bees following the head injury he sustained a few weeks ago, Chris Senior and Chris Clarke should also be available, but Alan Hill is likely to miss out through unavailability.

With no first-team game last Saturday, Senior watched Bridport Reserves triumph over Stourpaine in the Dorset Senior Trophy, and admitted their performance gave him food for thought over his squad selection.

“I was impressed with some of their players and it could be that we bring one or two into the squad if they are available,” he added.

“I was glad that I got the chance to watch them. Every time I have watched them in the past they have lost and I thought I was a bit of a jinx, but they won comfortably and played some decent stuff.”

A particular standout performer for Senior was striker Jack Scovell.

The Bridport boss, whose side haven’t scored in three league outings, admitted he is pondering calling up the hitman.
