BRIDPORT will be looking to end a three-game goal drought when they host Cadbury Heath tonight (7.45pm).

The last time Trevor Senior’s men found the back of the net was in a 2-1 win over Sherborne on January 10.

Since then they have drawn blanks against Hallen, Longwell Green Sports and, most recently, Bitton, who left St Mary’s Field on Saturday with a 3-0 victory.

And the Bees, who could move back into the top half of the table with three points this evening, may be without striker Warren Byerley for the visit of a side they play again next weekend.

Byerley is a doubt for the fixture due to work commitments, while injury is set to keep Jamie Symes on the sidelines.

Cadbury Heath, 2-1 winners at Sherborne last time out, sit two places and five points behind Bridport in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.

“I was pleased with our performance in the second half against Bitton,” said Senior. “But that’s three games now without scoring.

“We just need to get a bit of confidence and belief back, and hopefully we can do that against Cadbury Heath.”
