THREE members from Bridport Barracudas joined the Tornadoes of South Dorset to compete in the Arena League Final, held in Newport, South Wales.
The Bridport swimmers were competing against much bigger clubs but had some fantastic swims and came a very credible sixth place overall.
Eve Hewitt swam the 100m backstroke in 1min 20.55secs, Mila King completed the 100m backstroke 1:11.24 and Henry Wyrill recorded 31.11 for the 50m freestyle.
Barracudas’ coach Dan Dew said that this was a great experience for the swimmers to compete at this level.
A large Barracudas’ squad competed in the first round of the Dorset Novice League first round. There were some exceptionally good swims from the juniors and they received nine ‘speeding tickets’ eventually finishing in fifth place.
Head coach Dew said they all did really well with some amazing and surprisingly good swims.
