NEW Bridport RNLI chairman Martin Newbury was presented with a cheque for £250 by West Bay president Dave Cornick before the club’s AGM at Haddon House Hotel.

The money had been raised by the club during their annual RNLI open competition this summer.

Newbury thanked the club for the cheque and stressed that his organisation relied wholly on donations in order to operate.

At the AGM, the club’s officers reported on another successful year and announced a new family subscription rate for 2015.

Membership information can be obtained from the Angling Centre at West Bay.
