BRIDPORT’S junior rugby kicks off this weekend with registration from 10am to noon and then running every Sunday throughout September.
New members are welcome to attend the club’s training month at the clubhouse, situated next to Bridport Leisure Centre.
The sessions start with the under-7 and under-8s playing tag rugby and then the introduction of new skills throughout the age groups to under-16s and Colts.
Each age group is supported by at least two coaches, teaching the core values of rugby – teamwork, respect, discipline, honesty and enjoyment within a safe environment.
There are many social occasions with plenty of matches against regional teams, local festivals and the opportunity to go on tour.
As well as games on Sundays, the club offers midweek training on Wednesday evenings starting at 6pm.
