SOPHIE Keech has helped England win the Girls’ Home Internationals for the seventh year in a row.

England secured their victory by beating Wales 7-2 at Donabate, Ireland, with the former Lyme resident remaining unbeaten in all her matches.

England added the win to their earlier successes over Ireland and Scotland for a perfect scoreline of three victories from three matches during the tournament.

In the final match, England got off to an ideal start by winning all three morning foursomes. Then English girls’ champion India Clyburn continued the charge with a 6/5 win in the top singles.

More points were added by Alice Hewson and Sophie Lamb, while Hollie Muse and Emma Allen halved their games.

Muse fought back from three down with birdies on 13, 15 and 17 to secure her half point.

Every member of the team contributed to the overall victory, with India achieving six wins from six outings.

Keech and Hollie Muse were unbeaten in their matches.
