ODD DOWN (BATH) v BRIDPORT

BRIDPORT are able to go into tonight’s match at Odd Down (7.45pm) knowing their Toolstation Western League Premier Division status is secure for another season.

A thrilling 4-3 win over Cadbury Heath on Saturday took the Bees to 41 points, enough to ensure that they cannot finish in the bottom two places this term.

Trevor Senior’s side will be chasing a third win on the trot and a fifth successive away match unbeaten when they travel to Bath this even-ing.

The Bees’ boss is set to name an unchanged squad for the encounter against a team that was knocked out of the Les Phillips Cup at the semi-final stage last weekend.

“We are safe from relegation now so we haven’t got to worry about that,” said Senior.

“The two recent wins we’ve had have made the table look a bit different and there are a couple of sides above us that we can overtake.

“We showed a lot of character to come back from two goals down on Saturday and I thought we deserved the win.”

On Odd Down, he added: “I thought they were one of the best sides we had played when they beat us earlier in the season.

“They’ve been a bit up and down lately but it will be a tough one.

“If you offered me a point now I’d take it.”
