IT has been a busy time for Bridport TAGB Taekwondo.

Rosie Aze, Steve Phillips and Chloe Rich-ards attended the South West Champion-ships in Paignton where they competed against some of the best martial artists from across the region.

Instructor Richards returned home with a bronze for individual sparring while Aze and Phillips both produced encouraging performances in what was their first tournament.

Aze and Phillips, who will now go on to represent the club at the English Championships in Worcester in March, also recently graded for their next belts at Honiton, along with Julie Kelly and Rowan McEvoy.

All four were successful and have been awarded their new colour belts.

This followed an exciting assembly at Bridport Primary School where Aze and her brother Joe demonstrated their skills alongside Richards and teacher-assistant Kelly.

The training times have changed at Bridport TAGB Taekwondo and a special Tigers class for juniors is also now on offer. You can join them at Bridport Leisure Centre on Sundays from 5pm-6pm or at Loders village hall on Wednesdays.

Tigers train from 5pm-6pm and everyone else from 6pm-7pm. To find out more, email Richards at bridporttagb@gmail.com or call her on 07999317673. Alternatively, visit the website at targettagb.co.uk
