LODERS’ young players held their annual real tennis tournament at the Hyde Courts, Walditch.

Ollie Lee and Charlie Parkman reached the final, which turned out to be an exciting game.

Parkman took the lead to 4-1 but Lee fought back, winning the game 6-4.

Des Gale, the tournament co-ordinator told all competitors that that they had all made considerable progress since the last tournament, namely Mark Burt, Jack Parkman and J J Gale.

Levi Gale, 2012 under-16 British Open winner (2013 runner-up) and under-16 and under-18 French Open 2012 winner, presented Lee with the winner’s trophy.

Before the game, Pat Hughes, on behalf of Loders, presented Levi Gale with a cheque donation towards real tennis equipment and travel expenses for use where necessary for his coaching and competitions with the British squad.

Loders Young Players wish to thank Des Gale for arranging the competition and thanks also go to Neil McKen-zie and Levi Gale for umpiring the games.
