Spirit Combat trio making the grade

PROMOTED: Jack Beard, Steve Reynolds and Katie Reynolds
THREE members from Dorset Spirit Combat, who are based in Bridport, were assessed for their next grade.
The Spirit Combat International advanced gradings took place at Hersham, Surrey and included the Aki-Jujtsu forms, kickboxing and mixed martial arts techniques.
The chief grading examiner was Kancho Bill Cox, Ninth Dan, who was assisted by the founder of Spirit Combat Soke, Brian Dossett (10th Dan).
Jack Beard was promoted to junior blue belt, while Katie Reynolds, from Salway Ash, earned a senior brown belt.
Instructor Steve Reynolds was also promoted to Fourth Dan black belt.
The club have recently changed venues and now train at the Sea Scout hut in St Swithins Road.
