West Dorset: Producers show at London food fair

FOOD and drink producers from Dorset have been at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair at London Olympia.
They were in the Taste of the West pavilion on Monday, September 3 and Tuesday, September 4. They included Beaminster ’s Dorset Farms and Lyme Bay Winery.
John Sheaves, chief executive of Taste of the West, said: “The Taste of the West pavilion is a major opportunity for small and medium-sized companies to come together in one dedicated area to promote their food and drink to a huge and expanding market. “With consumer demand for locally produced quality food and drink holding up in the face of tough economic times, provenance is becoming the point of difference for retailers and foodservice buyers alike as they seek to lure consumers into the world of speciality food and drink.”
Dorset Farms produce ham and bacon. Lyme Bay Winery produces a range of drinks.
