Find out about tourism with business open days

A SERIES of open days are being held for businesses to find out more about tourism in west Dorset.

Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and West Dorset District Council are holding the sessions.

They include dates at Bridport tourist information centre today from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The Lyme Regis session will be at the marine parade shelters from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Friday April 20.

The events are open to any businesses from retailers and accommodation providers to restaurateurs and local associations.

Matt Ryan, who is head of tourism at Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and also at West Dorset District Council, said: “We are always striving to help out local businesses in every way possible and promoting tourism across the region.

“It will be a great opportunity for businesses to meet and chat with those working in local tourist information centres and learn about the best ways to work together and really push the region’s best assets.”
