Former Hollyoaks actor James Redmond is to perform a comedy routine at the Marine Theatre tomorrow (27).
James made his name as an actor, known for roles in Hollyoaks, Casualty, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and even Coronation Street. He first rose to fame as a model for Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, and Harvey Nicholls after being talent spotted while eating a Yorkie at a bus stop.
But now the multi-talented actor has turned comedian: James Redmond headlines a night of four comedians at the Lyme Regis Comedy Club, a monthly event that started at the Marine ran by Bridport-based comedian Tom Glover.
James Redmond is a dry and subtle stand up who delivers unexpected twists and turns during his set. James performs six nights a week, all over the UK as compere, or with a set of up to 30 minutes and has done more than 350 gigs in two years, including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Amused Moose and the comedy festivals of Bristol, Exeter, Guernsey, Hull & Liverpool.
He had a daily, hour-long show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
