BULLSEYE: Lyme duo of Brian Greenaway and Phil Widger made a name of themselves at a prestigious darts competition.

The pair unfortunately could not beat former world champion, Eric Bristow, the Crafty Cockney, and his partner, Hunters Lodge's Bob Payne, when they went down in the final leg of the deciding set.

BOWLED OVER: Memories of sun-soaked summer days playing cricket for Symene came flooding back when former ace bowler Bert Tuck celebrated his 60th birthday.

For Bert, of Chideock, who once claimed nine wickets for 14 runs in one innings, he enjoyed two big surprises during a family gathering at Symene Sports Club.

SWEET: Sweet success has boosted Lyme Regis Primary School's funds by £170.

The money was raised in a competition for a giant Easter egg, donated by Woolworths, and the winner was parent Mrs Jackie Sweet.

HOLIDAY: West Bay and Bridport claim to have had a "record Easter".

From late Thursday afternoon the visitors began to arrive.

Car parks were crowded, many people were unable to find anywhere to stop at the Bay, restaurants were kept busy serving hot meals because of the chilly nip in the air, hotels reported heavy bookings and there were nose-to-tail processions along the A35 road through Bridport.

MUSIC: Every Bank Holiday about 20 young people gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geoffery Brace and their family to make music.

This year was no exception for from the top of Netherbury church tower the strains of German wind music wafted over the valleys and hills much to the delight and curiosity of those who had come to hear it and the unsuspecting villagers who were making the most of the Summer weather.

PIPELINE: Visitors who inspected the long sea outfall pipe at West Bay last week showed considerable interest in the processes still being carried out on the pipe near the old railway station.
