A road has reopened after a three-day closure for emergency works to be carried out.
Bridge Street and Church Street were closed over the weekend for emergency works by electricity distribution network Western Power.
But workers discovered a small gas leak, which was unrelated to their emergency work, and called the gas network company.
The gas supply to four properties had to be cut off as a result.
The spokesman added: "Western Power were doing work and when they opened up the road they discovered a small gas leak at the location. The leak only came to light because the road had been opened up by the electricity company, and is completely unrelated to their work.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and the road will be re-opened as soon as possible."
The works are now finished and the road has reopened.
