PERFORMERS took to the streets of Lyme Regis for an annual charity festival.

The B Sharp Busking Festival took place on Saturday, as part of the Lyme Regis Jazz and Blues weekend. Performers from the youth music charity took to the streets to perform for crowds.

Marcus Dixon, B Sharp managing director, said: "The performance area in the Marine Parade Shelters saw tiny tots to young and older adults all perform, in bands, jamming, soloing as instrumentalists, pianists and singing and all holding the watching crowd in palms of their hands.

"More than 50 young people participated and B Sharp has cleared approximately £800 from the day.

"The success of the B Sharp Busking Festival is a confection of a lot of many excellent things. But in large measure the product of the talent, dedication and all the mentoring and support by the music charity's music leaders and team given to the young musicians at out of school workshops, classes and performances throughout the year."
