THE lifeboat was launched to rescue a sailing boat which had broken down.
The vessel, with one person on board, suffered engine failure close to Charmouth yesterday evening.
The Lyme crew was called out at around 4pm to help the stricken vessel. They took the boat under tow back to Lyme Harbour and were back at the lifeboat station by around 5pm.
