THE FAMILY of a teenager who was killed in a crash have paid tribute to a “caring and loving son”.

As reported in last week’s Bridport News, 17-year-old Will Ure, from Lyme Regis, died when a dark Honda Civic collided with a tree on the A3052 at Ware Cross on the Dorset-Devon border. The collision took place in the early hours of Saturday, December 17.

Will, the front seat passenger, died at the scene. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Colyton, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth in a critical condition.

Will's friends paid tribute to him on social media and left messages at the scene of the crash.

Will’s family have now paid tribute to him in a statement.

It read: “Will was a caring and loving son and brother and a loyal friend to many.

“He was fun loving and lived life to the full. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace our lovely boy.”

Devon and Cornwall Police are still appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Anyone with any information is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk or call 101 quoting log 30 of December 17.
