THE RNLI helped search for a missing elderly man this afternoon.
The Lyme Regis lifeboat was launched at 12.05pm today to help police and coastguards in a search for a man who was reported missing.
A spokesman for Lyme Regis RNLI, said: "The volunteer lifeboat crew carried out a shoreline search east of Golden Cap, but were stood down after 90 minutes.
"The lifeboat crew were called out the previous evening after four people were said to be stranded on Ridge Cliff, Seatown. They were stood down when it was reported that the four had made their own way to safety."
