AN award-winning shape-shifting and spectacularly surreal character-based sketch double act, the Pajama Men, are bringing their hilarious tour of 2 Man 3 Musketeers to Lyme Regis following its success at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Pajama Men will be performing at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis on September 3.

2 Man 3 Musketeers is the Pajama Men’s first epic novel adaptation. It premiered to critical acclaim at 2015’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival before an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The duo’s - Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen - latest ambitious undertaking is a live, comic, existential meltdown that takes place as the two comedians attempt to stage Dumas’ epic, historical romance novel from 1844, in under an hour.

Across random hotel rooms in three continents, Mark Chavez and Shenoah Allen have made the classic novel their own to write the comedy piece.

They have become a world-renowned double act known for their unique style of narrative-sketch comedy that incorporates elements of stand-up, sketch, improv and both outlandish and familiar characters.

The show is scored with a Khaen (a Thai mouth organ you play with your face), a Hulusi (a Chinese reed instrument) and a Gyil (a West African Xylophone) and a bunch of other bizarre instruments from around the globe.

The tour is being showcased through the Soho Theatre.

Sarah Dodd, Soho Theatre’s touring producer, said: “With their unique and wonderfully weird theatrical comedy, the Pajama Men have always felt like a perfect match for Soho Theatre.

“We’re very excited to be able to bring this brilliantly inventive and truly original comedy act to an even wider audience as part of our newly expanded touring programme.”
