LYME Regis is holding its Easter Bonnet Parade on Sunday.

Judging of hats and bonnets is at 2pm in Lyme Regis Baptist Church before the parade leaves at 3pm.

This traditional event, now in its 18th year, attracts a large crowd both in Broad Street and along the seafront.

The Lyme Regis majorettes will perform a display on the sea front at the end of the parade for everyone to enjoy.

This year children and adults are invited to decorate their hats and bonnets with a theme ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’.

There is a special cup for children and adults entering this category.

There are prizes in five age groups as well as those for men and women and special prizes for the best under-five entry. There is also a cup to be presented to the best family group.

Prizes will be awarded immediately after judging in the Baptist Church and the parade will proceed down Broad Street and finish on the sea front by the Jubilee Pavilion.

The parade will be led by the Mayor of Lyme Regis.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event and enjoy all he hard work done by the participants.
