POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after two cars collided near Lyme Regis.
 

At around 5pm on Thursday, October 15, a collision took place between two vehicles on the A35 at the Charmouth roundabout.

A silver Vauxhall Corsa, registered to a local driving school, was being driven by a learner driver across the roundabout from the direction of Bridport and toward Lyme Regis when another car tried to overtake it. 

The other vehicle, thought to be a Land Rover 90 or 110, collided with the Corsa before driving off without stopping.

Damage was caused to the Corsa but no injuries were sustained.

Police Constable Sara Mackay, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact me on 101.

“I am also asking the driver of the Land Rover, involved in the collision, to come forward to help with our enquiries.”
