STRICTLY Come Dancing favourite Len Goodman was spotted filming in Lyme Regis today for his new BBC One show Holiday of My Lifetime.

In the program, the Strictly head judge takes famous faces back in time to recreate their childhood holidays.

For the episode being filmed, the television star was joined by actor Ian Kelsey, who is best known for his roles in Emmerdale, Doctors, Casualty and Where The Heart Is.

The pair spent the day filming at various locations in Lyme Regis including on the Cobb, along Marine Parade and in The Royal Standard pub, as well as going on a boat trip.

A number of people gathered on the promenade to watch the cameras roll, but the pair passed through the crowds largely undetected.

Graham Brierly from Rossendale Valley was visiting friends in the town with his wife Heather and said: "We didn't know Len was coming down here today.

"Strictly is a very popular show and we like Len on that, but we've seen this series and he's really good on that too - he gets a lot out of the people he speaks to."

Angus and Sheila Holland came down to Lyme Regis from Cornwall on holiday, and said of the filming: "We like watching Len on Strictly, he's very witty.

"We know he does another programme about holidays so it'll be good to see this episode."

Landlords Sarah and Neville Causley at the Hunter's Lodge Inn even said Mr Goodman popped in to do some filming in their car park, giving them the chance to meet him.

Mr Causley said: "The team rang up the other day to ask if they could do some filming here.

"He did a bit of filming in the car park and popped into the pub briefly and we had a little chat with him.

"He's really nice and my wife enjoyed meeting him as she's a fan of Strictly, so she spoke to him a bit more than I did."
