RNLI volunteers will welcome a royal visitor to the Lyme Regis lifeboat station later this month.
His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, who is the president of the charity, will visit the town on Thursday March 26 at 2.20pm.
The visit will give the team at the Lyme Regis RNLI station an opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and to explain more about the rescue and fundraising work that is carried out.
RNLI lifeboat operations manager at Lyme Regis, Grahame Forshaw said: "We are a dedicated team of volunteers who are very proud of our lifeboat station and are delighted to be given this special opportunity to show it off to the Duke of Kent.
"His Royal Highness will see our lifeboat station, including the boat house where we keep the Atlantic class inshore lifeboat Spirit of Loch Fyne and meet the volunteer crew and fundraisers, before visiting our wonderful shop that attracts so many visitors.
"It will be lovely for the volunteers who put in so much hard work to keep our little corner of the RNLI going and we look forward to greeting him."
