THE Golden Cap ministry team is one of four pilot projects within the Salisbury Diocese to explore new patterns of lay ministry.
The team in Lyme Bay is taking part in the Energising Local Ministry (ELM) project and a new co-ordinator has been appointed this week to advise participants.
The Rev David Harknett, who is licensed with the Melbury Team, near Sherborne, will be advising, sourcing and encouraging new forms of work in each of the four pilot projects across the Salisbury Diocese. He will explore and establish new patterns of lay ministry, continuing work that began in 2011.
Rev Harknett said: “My plan is to visit each pilot before Easter, pray with them, get to know their area and start a dialogue in each case.”
