Bonfire on beach at Lyme

CELEBRATE Bonfire Night with a firework spectacular at Lyme Regis seafront on Saturday.
The firework display will be at 6.30pm from the Cobb, followed by a bonfire on the beach, lit by the Mayor Sally Holman, accompanied by the Mayoress Jane Whittington.
The children of St Michael’s Pre-school have offered to make a Guy Fawkes, which will be placed on top of the bonfire during the afternoon.
The event is organised by the Lyme Regis Regatta and Carnival Committee. Secretary Alan Vian said: “This is a very special night in Lyme Regis and attracts crowds of people from all around Lyme.
“The fireworks will be presented by the same company who wowed the crowds in the summer with magnificent displays during Lifeboat Week and Regatta and Carnival Week.”
