This takes the total amount of grants given out by the committee to more than £40,000 over the past six years.
Committee secretary Alan Vian said: “The committee are delighted with the results of the fundraising and are very grateful to all those who have helped throughout the year. Once again there are donations to organisations who work for the young and for the old.”
Organisations for young people who will benefit are B Sharp music project, Brownies and Guides, InSPARation Youth Café, Lyme Valley Scouts, Lyme Regis Junior Band, Lyme Regis Majorettes, Lyme Youth Theatre, Mother and Toddler Group, Pre-School, Quest Youth Club and St Michael’s Primary School.
Sports organisation to benefit are the Gymnastics Club, Lyme Regis Football Club, Lyme Regis Youth Football, Power Boat Club youth section, Sailing Club youth section, Taekwondo Club, and Uplyme Youth Cricket Team.
Emergency services will also benefit, with the Coastguard, Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat, and Response Medical Services receiving grants.
Groups in the entertainment sector to benefit are Lyme Regis Town Band, Lyme Regis Operatic Society, Lyme Regis Radio, and Lyme Regis Pantomime Society.
The remaining community groups to receive grants are the Christmas Lights Committee, Father Christmas’ Sleigh Project, Fishermen’s Association, Get Together Club and Hallett Court Social Club.
Regatta and Carnival Committee chairman Teresa Evemy said: “We are delighted, once again, to be able to give such a large amount of money to local good causes. This brings the total to £43,000 given since 2003.
“It was a difficult summer because of the weather but we were well supported by local businesses and holidaymakers.”
