Lyme Regis: Lib Dems elect new chairman

CHRIS Savory has taken over as the new chairman of the Lyme Regis and Marshwood Vale Liberal Democrats.
Mr Savory, 58, was elected at the branch agm and is now aiming to raise the profile of the party ahead of the next General Election.
The chartered public finance accountant moved to Pine Walk, Lyme Regis, five years ago with wife Erica.
He said: “It’s a lively branch and I’m delighted to be elected chairman.”
At the branch agm, Ann Sargant was elected vice-chairman and membership secretary, Laura Noel was elected as secretary. Tim Solloway continues as treasurer.
