THE third annual Christmas Tree Festival in Lyme Regis is bigger than ever with 30 trees decorated by local organisations.
The festival opened at Lyme Regis Baptist Church on Tuesday when the first visitor was town mayor Michaela Ellis, who enjoyed the variety of decorations, which reflected each organisation.
It is jointly organised by the Baptist Church and Regatta and Carnival Committee, whose secretary Alan Vian said: “Monday evening was very special as all of the trees were decorated within two hours and it was lovely to welcome those who had decorated trees before, and the seven new organisations taking part this year. “A very special atmosphere has been created in this church. We hope that the spirit of Christmas will be experienced by all who come into the Baptist Church for the festival.”
The festival will be open daily from 2pm to 8pm until Friday, and on Saturday from 10am until 2pm.
