LYME Regis Pantomime Society will present a summer show at the Woodmead Halls for the first time.
Its traditional variety concert, with three performances, has always been staged at the Marine Theatre.
But only two will take place there next year because the theatre management will be featuring its own production and cannot accommodate the Panto Society on its customary date in August.
So the society will stage its variety concert at the Marine on July 15 and 16 before upping sticks to the Woodmead Halls.
The move means it can extend its run to four nights with performances on August 8 and 9.
“Our society has always been keen to support the Marine Theatre,” said panto secretary Shirley Colley. “However, our summer show is very important to us because any profit we make helps to finance our annual pantomime.
“Hopefully, the extra night will turn out to be a bonus for us because the August presentation has always been the most profitable.
“We are most grateful to the trustees of the Woodmead Halls.”
