Lyme Regis came to a halt on Armistice Day as the town paid its respects to those who lost their lives in war.
Residents were amongst thousands across West Dorset who attended remembrance ceremonies simultaneously falling silent for two minutes in honour of the servicemen and women who fought but lost their lives in battle.
Members of the local branch of the Royal British Legion were joined by town councillors and local residents for a poppy and wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial. Prayers for the fallen were led by the Rev Rosemary Bragg.
November is always a busy time for Lyme Town Band. Remembrance time began with the Lyme Regis Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, which took place at the Woodmead Halls.
As well as accompanying the traditional hymns, the band contributed several pieces and played for the singing of the traditional Land Of Hope And Glory.
On Remembrance Sunday itself, two band members provided the Last Post and Reveille at local churches. Band chairman Jan Long played at Chard, while Des Moore, 17, and a student at the Woodroffe School, contributed to the service at Uplyme church.
Lyme Regis Parish Church was the venue on Remembrance Sunday, where the band provided accompaniment for the hymns at the annual Remembrance service which was very well attended.
Under musical director John Powell, the band concluded the service with the march Punchinello with Jan Long again playing the Last Post and Reveille.
