A CONVICTED murderer who has escaped from prison could be in Dorset.

Nicholas Redding, 45, absconded from HMP Spring Hill in Buckinghamshire on November 19.

Thames Valley Police, who are appealing for the public’s help to trace him, say he has links to Dorset, Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset.

Redding is described as white, 6ft tall, slim build, with dark brown hair and has hazel eyes. He is blind in his right eye which appears to be opaque. He has a West Country accent.

The public are advised not to approach him but to call 999 if seen.

Police said Redding was in prison after conviction for murder.

His abscondment is not being linked to others who have absconded from HMP Spring Hill.
