A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a one-car crash in Lyme Regis.
Police were called to Broad Street at 2.44pm yesterday to reports of a silver Hyundai ix20 rolling into scaffolding.
The woman, who had been the passenger seat of the car, was cut free by firefighters.
She was later airlifted to Dorset County Hospital although police officers said the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said no one had been driving the vehicle at the time and it appeared the car had rolled into the scaffolding.
Broad Street was closed between Silver Street and Coombe Street with heavy traffic reported in the area.
The road was reopened at 5.21pm.
