AN award-winning site manager will give members of the public an insight into the work that goes in to building a new home at a housing development in Lyme Regis.

Bloor Homes is hosting a 'Meet the Builder' event at its Woodberry Copse site on Woodberry Down Way on Friday (17th March) from 10.30am to 4pm.

Mark Couch, who last year received a Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) in recognition of his work at the development, will be showing visitors around the five-bedroom Woodberry house type.

Mr Couch, who is now contracts manager for Bloor Homes’ South West region, will be joined by current site manager Matt Hill to explaing the techniques used during the build process.

Mr Couch said: “Meet the Builder is a great way of introducing people to the world of housebuilding and of showcasing the hard work we invest in each home we build. I am very much looking forward to welcoming visitors to the site and I hope they find the day interesting and insightful.

“The Woodberry house type is a fantastic family home with five generously sized bedrooms, and open plan kitchen/dining/family area, and a first floor balcony, and I’m sure visitors will enjoy looking round it.

“We’re very proud of the homes we have built at Woodberry Copse, which is an absolutely stunning development, and I’d encourage anyone who would like to know more about the housebuilding process to register for the event.”

A range of three, four and five-bedroom homes are currently available at Woodberry Copse, priced from £399,950 to £899,950.

Attendance is by appointment only and places can be reserved by calling call 01297 579258.
