POLICE are urging people to secure valuables after a spate of break-ins in a west Dorset village.
Officers are appealing for information about the incidents in Broadwindsor this week.
Between the afternoons of Tuesday, January 3 and Wednesday, January 4, unknown offenders entered a garage in the village and stole a sub-woofer, sound stream amp and a socket set.
At around the same time, offenders broke into a vehicle which was parked in the village, stealing small change. This morning, police discovered another vehicle in Broadwindsor had been broken into, but nothing was stolen.
A spokesman for Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We advise that people are vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour at the time, on 101 or online.
“Please do not leave or hide any items of value inside vehicles when unattended.”
Police are also investigating a series of attempted break-ins in the Pymore area, which took place over the last couple of days.
