POLICE searched a Bridport property as part of an investigation into the alleged misuse of drugs.

On Wednesday morning, officers from Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, carried out a search at a property along Flaxhayes - in partnership with Magna Housing's anti-social behaviour team.

A police spokesman said: "This address was believed to be linked to the misuse of controlled drugs.

"The subsequent search, resulted in controlled drugs being discovered.

"A 65-year-old resident male was interviewed at Bridport police station and has received a police caution for admitting possession of a class B controlled drug.

"This latest intervention is part of Bridport police’s ongoing operation to target people who we suspect are involved in the supply of illegal drugs, and to tackle the users who bring the associated violence, crime and anti-social behaviour to our town."
