A DOG owner being supported by actor Martin Clunes in her desperate search for her missing pet is pleading for information regarding a potential sighting.

Victor the Red Setter has been missing since Friday, March 18, when he was last seen at Hursey near Beaminster.

His owner Jackie Riley is desperate to find him as he needs urgent medication to prevent blindness and has recently been backed by Mr Clunes, who offered to double the reward on offer to anyone who returns the dog to £4,000.

She has now received reports of a male Red Setter seen at Cogden Beach near Burton Bradstock on Sunday, May 8.

It comes after a similar sighting in the area last month and Jackie is keen to hear from any local Red Setter owners whose dog it may have been so she can rule out any other dogs.

So far she has only been made aware of one Red Setter living in the area and it is a female, while both sightings were of a male dog.

Victor was microchipped at the time he went missing and had telephone numbers on a disc attached to his collar.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts or any potential sightings is asked to call 01308 868949 or 07745 572196.
