FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a blaze in a domestic garage in North Allington, Bridport.
Two fire crews and another fire service vehicle were sent to the scene of the fire, opposite the junction between Parsonage Road and Court Orchard Road in Bridport.
Speaking at the scene, Station Manager Dave Prior said: "Two appliances from Bridport and an officer from headquarters responded to a garage on fire.
"It's been extinguished by officers wearing two sets of breathing apparatus and using two hose reel jets, and we are now just making the scene safe.
"The cause of the fire is unknown at this point in time, but we will be investigating it.
"I would like to remind members of the public to be mindful of the dangers of the contents of garages.
"We are happy to offer advice or a free home safety check to anyone who needs it."
